The Blackboard Awards are a direct result of a comprehensive study conducted by a team of educational experts each year in Our Town and The West Side Spirit describing and evaluating early childhood, elementary, middle and high school educational opportunities for the City's children.

OTTY Awards The OTTY (Our Town Thanks You) Awards recognize the special contributions of individuals to their East Side community. Recipients include organizational and civic leaders who work specifically within the neighborhood or East Side residents who make special contributions to the greater New York City community.

WESTY Awards The WESTY (West Side Sprit Thanks You) Awards recognize the special contributions of individuals to the West Side community. Recipients include organizational and civic leaders who work specifically within the neighborhood and West Side residents who make special contributions to the greater New York City community.

PEGGY SIEGAL is the famous movie press agent and a fixture of New York life. Now she appears in two guises in the coming April issue of Avenue magazine. Peggy is both a fashion plate, describing the various outfits she wore over the Academy Awards weekend in L.A., and she is a reporter, covering the many parties she attended over that tempestuous time.
