Do you know a fabulous doorman, porter or "handy-man" where you live? Is there an office cleaner, security officer or maintenance worker who helps make life a little easier at work?
Once again this year, Manhattan Media - along with SEIU Local 32BJ, the property service workers union - is honoring the workers who keep the city's commercial, residential and other buildings running smoothly. This fall in a special section in our community newspapers, we will feature building service workers who go above and beyond to make tenants', residents' and New Yorkers' lives better. These workers will be honored at an awards ceremony in the first week of October.
Building service workers in New York City residential and commercial buildings, public schools and other facilities, are eligible for these awards. Categories include maintenance worker, office cleaner, doorman and security officer, as well as special awards for emergency life saver, good samaritan and more than 30 years on the job.
DEADLINE EXTENDED: Nominations are now due Friday August 15th
