2006 Small Business Awards

Every year, Manhattan Media brings you the Small Business Awards to recognize those businesses that have shown the ability to use their best practices to generate revenue, profits, and/or long-term value, while benefiting and improving their neighborhoods. The Small Business Awards program will be featured throughout several issues of Manhattan Media's community weeklies, including Our Town, The West Side Spirit and New York Press.

Merchants can be nominated by anyone, including an owner or company employee. Eligible award nominees must be headquartered in Manhattan and have no more than 100 employees.

All nomination forms must be received by Sept. 30.

HELL-O, DOLLY

June 8, 2006 -- SEX sells anything, even real estate. Dolly Lenz, the top broker at Prudential Douglas Elliman, is one of many big shots such as Louise Sunshine, Dottie Herman and Howard Lorber in Avenue magazine this month. But Lenz, dubbed "The Rainmaker," is the only one who posed provocatively - a la Michelle Pfeiffer in "The Fabulous Baker Boys" - strung across a piano wearing high heels and a white mink stole. No wonder she closes so many deals.
